Only minutes after being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump praised Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s border security policies and promised Texas would have support from Washington now that he was in office.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw of Houston proposed a bill to reimburse states like Texas that have tried to secure the border on their own. Congressman Jake Ellzey of Waxahachie is a co-sponsor.

Texans have been tapped to run the CIA, the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Agriculture.
