Police in Orange County opened fire on a suspect after a dangerous high-speed chase that ended with a successful PIT-maneuver and a violent crash on a bridge over the Santa Ana River Wednesday night.
Signage on the truck indicated it was an Orange County Fire Authority vehicle for Santiago handcrews. AIR7 was over the scene, where the truck was on its side with debris scattered across the roadway.
The fire truck hit a guard rail and flipped. Chief Brian Fennessy of the Orange County Fire Authority said the truck overturned on California State Route 241.
