Whitehall Palace, the seat of the Tudor and Stuart monarchies and site of many of their most notorious antics, was grand indeed—until it burned mostly to the ground in 1698.
The Lost Palace is available to experience from 21 July-4 September. Tickets £12 adults, £6 children ( book in advance ). Price includes entry to Banqueting House, where the tour begins.
