Former President Barack Obama was in Madison for a rally Tuesday afternoon with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and "Democrats up and down, the ballot," urging people to vote early for Vice President Kamala Harris, the campaign said. Walz also rallied in Racine Tuesday night.

The two men railed against Donald Trump and urged voters to return their ballots early, as polls show a close race in the state.

In-person early voting has kicked off across battleground Wisconsin, with former President Barack Obama and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz hosting a rally in liberal Madison.
