A bruised right hand didn’t have any effect on Christian Yelich. The Milwaukee Brewers designated hitter — named the National League’s Player of the Week before the game against the Cincinnati Reds — was back in the lineup and continued his hot streak with a solo home run in the third inning to lift the Brewers to a 3-2 victory.

The Brewers try for their ninth straight win tonight as they again take on the Reds at Great American Ball Park.

For the sixth time in his career and first time since May 2019, Christian Yelich has been named the NL's player of the week.
