Pinal County is asking Oracle residents to evacuate due to the Cody Fire, which started at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Coronado National Forest.

The Cody Fire, ignited on May 21, 2025, near Oracle, AZ, has prompted evacuations and is currently 5% contained, according to the U.S. Forest Service -

Officials have expanded an evacuation order for some residents in Oracle. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office says Oracle residents in evacuation zones 5,16,17,18 and 19 are in GO status. They are ordered to evacuate immediately.

Until April 2024, homes in Oracle and other parts of southern Pinal County couldn’t access Tucson-based TV stations on satellite because the region fell inside the Phoenix Designated Market Area.
