Delaware State University just announced the launch of its own independent line of collegiate merchandise. The institution says it is the first HBCU to own and distribute its own clothing label.

Delaware State University has made history once ... With DSU owning its merchandise, the university will control the proceeds, directly supporting scholarships for media-focused students.

The inventory will include limited-edition merchandise that can only be purchased directly from Delaware State University. Five percent of all sales will go toward funding scholarships.
