The next head coach of the Suns might very well come with Michigan State men’s basketball and Tom Izzo connections as former Spartans video coordinator Jordan Ott is reportedly a finalist for the role.

The Suns are down to Cleveland Cavaliers associate head coach Johnnie Bryant and assistant Jordan Ott, ESPN's Shams Charania reported. Both candidates are expected to meet with team owner Mat Ishbia, CEO Josh Bartelstein and new general manager Brian Gregory this week.

Banchi also noted that Ott will likely lead the Cleveland Cavaliers during the NBA Summer League before joining Latvia’s EuroBasket preparations. Interestingly, Ott is also among the candidates for the Phoenix Suns ’ head coaching position—a development that could significantly impact his summer plans in 2025.
