“You can tell he’s a great guy,” Tippmann said. “Great quarterback. Great leader.” And Tippmann said the Jets are getting to know Fields outside of football. The second-year player said Fields has already been on multiple post-practice excursions to a golf simulator.

But for all the good work the Jets have done this offseason, there is one big and glaring hole that the franchise has yet to fully address - the receiver position. Mason Taylor and Arian Smith were drafted, but right now, they aren't needle movers or players who the Jets and Fields know will come through on gameday.
