A Mega Millions player in California just missed the $154 million jackpot but won $47,355, lottery officials said. The ticket matched four winning numbers, the Mega Ball and a 5x multiplier in the drawing Friday, May 23, the California Lottery said.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday‘s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $154 million, with a cash option of $69 million. The winning numbers were: 7, 18, 40, 55 and 68. The Mega Ball drawn was 18. No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $139 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize tickets of at least $2 million sold.
