A contestant from “MasterChef México” was killed in a car crash. Yanin Campos was 38 years old. Newspaper El Financiero said she was driving in Chihuahua, Mexico, just after 6 a.m., Aug. 2, when she hit a parked car, TMZ reported. She was taken to an area hospital, where she died on Aug. 4.

MasterChef star Yanin Campos has died following a car crash in Mexico, The 38-year-old was reportedly driving in her hometown, Chihuahua, around 6:30 am on August 2 when she hit a parked vehicle. According to local newspaper El Financiero, Campos was rushed to the nearby Hospital del Parque with critical injuries.

Campos competed on two consecutive seasons of the cooking competition series and also found success as a social media influencer.
