The developers of a potential data center proposed for acres of land owned by Dale Earnhardt’s widow have withdrawn their request, Mooresville Mayor Chris Carney announced Wednesday. This comes after both residents and members of the iconic racing family spoke in opposition to the project at the Mooresville Board

"This is a full withdrawal," Mooresville Mayor Chris Carney said of the scuttled proposal by Dale Earnhardt's widow, Teresa Earnhardt.

Tract, a company proposing a $30 billion data center on land owned by the widow of NASCAR champion Dale Earnhardt in rural Mooresville, North Carolina, will not move forward with the project.
