Board partners are apparently set to recieve less stock of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 as production ramps up on the new RTX 5060 gaming GPU..

It looks like the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 graphics cards could prove to be even better value for money than initially thought, as a new rumor suggests that the mid-range graphics cards won’t require Nvidia’s 12VHPWR connector (which the powerful RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 use).

A manufacturing fault left one Redditor with a new Nvidia RTX 5080 gaming GPU masquerading as an RTX 5090, thanks to a labeling fault.

Based on the RTX5090, it is expected to have a whopping 96GB, twice that of it predecessor

According to multiple sources, the GeForce RTX 5060 series is expected to launch in March-April 2025. NVIDIA’s decision to retain the 8-pin connector and recommend a higher PSU wattage suggests that these GPUs may have slightly higher power demands than their predecessors but will remain within a reasonable upgrade path for most gamers.

It’s disappointing to see Nvidia has stuck with 16GB of VRAM on the RTX 5080. AMD’s RX 7900 XTX offers 24GB, and while the RTX 5080 delivers better performance for now, it may well hit video memory limits in 4K gaming in the future.
