King Charles III wrapped up a six-day Australia tour Wednesday, jetting off to the Pacific island of Samoa for a summit of the 56-nation Commonwealth, where more questions about Britain's colonial legacy await.

King Charles III arrived in Samoa on Wednesday to preside over the gathering of Commonwealth presidents and prime ministers for the first time as head of the monarchy.

King Charles and Queen Camilla have left Australia for Samoa where the British monarch will address a Commonwealth summit and be given the title of high chief. The couple are expected to be greeted by hundreds of people in the Pacific island nation which is holding its first Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in capital Apia this week.

On Oct. 18, the King, 75, and Queen, 77, touched down in Sydney to kick off their royal tour of Australia and Samoa. While the royals stepped off the plane together for a formal welcome, a close look at the Court Circular shows that King Charles left London on Oct. 17, and Queen Camilla's name wasn't mentioned in the entry.

The visit is scheduled to take place from Friday, Oct. 18 to Saturday, Oct. 26 — and is a significant one for the couple
