A 16-year-old girl is fighting for her life, and a 17-year-old girl is recovering after the two were shot late Sunday near Manhattan’s Stonewall Inn, hours after the annual Pride March passed through the neighborhood.

Charles Leto​, 55, appeared in First Appearance Court on Sunday on one count each of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

A 55-year-old Lakeview man has been charged with murder after police said he shot two teen boys Thursday evening in Douglass Park – killing a 15-year-old and seriously wounding a 14-year-old.

Prosecutors said a 55-year-old lifeguard, who is a decorated Marine veteran, violated Chicago Park District policy by bringing a gun to work when he allegedly shot two teens, one fatally. The suspect claims it was self defense.
