KERRVILLE, Texas (AP) — Emergency crews suspended their search for victims of catastrophic flooding in central Texas on Sunday morning amid new warnings that additional rain would again cause waterways to surge. It was the first time a new round of severe weather has paused the search since the flooding earlier this month.

Search crews are expecting to resume looking for flood victims in Texas after more heavy rains temporarily paused their efforts. The July Fourth floods killed at least 132 people. Rescue efforts

The National Weather Service warned that the Guadalupe River could surge to nearly 15 feet—5 feet above flood stage—by Sunday afternoon.
