Wab Kinew, the premier of Manitoba says a search of the Prairie Green Landfill for Morgan Harris and Marcedes Myran is on schedule.

The effort to find the remains of two slain First Nations women in a landfill is on track and excavation in the target area is set to start in early December, Premier Wab Kinew said Wednesday.

Once the search gets officially underway, officials said all materials removed from the targeted zones will be searched at the search facility pad, which has been built specifically for the landfill search operation.

Preparation work has begun in the search for two Indigenous women whose remains were dumped by their killer in a Winnipeg-area landfill. Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew says crews are moving into the next stage and will being to process and analyze materials in early December.
