Wimbledon officials blocked Portugal No 1 Nuno Borges’s request to wear a Portugal football shirt on to court in tribute to Diogo Jota, it has been claimed.

Portuguese tennis players Francisco Cabral and Nuno Borges were given permission to stray from Wimbledon’s strict all-white dress code to honor the late Liverpool and Portugal soccer star Diogo Jota,

Nuno Borges had hoped to wear a Diogo Jota soccer jersey onto court at his match at Wimbledon but he settled for a black ribbon on his hat instead.
