By Martyn Herman LONDON (Reuters) -World number one Jannik Sinner shrugged off any fears about his injured elbow with a clinical defeat of powerful young American 10th seed Ben Shelton to reach the Wimbledon semi-final for the second time on Wednesday.
Sinner underwent the scan in the morning and a scheduled practice session at 4pm on Wimbledon's Aorangi Park was subsequently cancelled, but he was able to hit "a few balls" in a private session after the scan, according to coach Darren Cahill.
Jannik Sinner, who advanced to the Wimbledon 2025 quarterfinals due to a pectoral injury sustained by fourth-round foe Grigor Dimitrov, now needs an MRI himself after falling during the eventful match in London.
