Wildlife experts finally were able to trap a black bear and remove a large lid that was stuck around his neck for two years.

The lid is similar to those that fit a 55-gallon drum used by hunters to bait bears, according to DNR. They’re also used by landowners to store materials that attract bears, like chicken feed.

The bear was safely trapped and the lid was removed on June 3. Michigan wildlife experts finally were able to trap a black bear and remove a large lid that was stuck around his neck — for two years.
