Texas Men’s Basketball will face a major non-conference test this season as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge. The Longhorns will host Virginia on December 3 at the Moody Center. The game carries extra importance since Virginia is a recent NCAA champion.

The ACC/SEC Men’s Challenge will take place over back-to-back days Tuesday, Dec. 2, and Wednesday, Dec. 3, while the ACC/SEC Women’s Challenge is slated for Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 4. Both the men’s and women’s events will be televised across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network.

The 2025 ACC vs. SEC women's and men's basketball challenge schedule was released by ESPN on Thursday. This year's version of the annual challenge will be the third involving the two Power Four conferences after the inter-conference matchup tipped off in 2023.
