Speaking to The Star, Alexander Tshipi, Absa head of card issuing, said the new card designs were co-created with more than 2000 customers and front-line staff.

Mr. Minkara, the ultimate winner among 50 others who excelled in Absa’s Assist Card Campaign, was awarded a fully funded trip for two, to watch a live Premier League match in the United Kingdom.

Absa has added a techno-loaded card to its Absa Potentiate banking account – a first of its kind card with Tap and Go technology and LCD display.

More currencies will be added to the Multi-Currency Cash Card at a later stage, Absa said. The card is chip and PIN enabled for security, and is accepted at 35.9 million locations worldwide.
