Atletico Madrid has handed Antoine Griezmann a two-year contract extension which could keep the French forward with the club until he’s 36. Griezmann’s previous contract had a year to run.

Antoine Griezmann has agreed to a new one-year extension with Atletico Madrid, committing his future to the club until June 2027. Griezmann, now 34, returned to Atletico permanently in 2022 after a season-long loan from Barcelona. His first spell with the Madrid side ran from 2014 to 2019 before he moved to Barca in a €120 million deal.
