In a recent letter ("Political cartoons present only 1 side," March 30), Charles Monagan expressed offense toward the newspaper's lack of diversity in presenting its political cartoons.

Regarding the July 10 cartoon portraying President Donald Trump ... If Trump was a racist, he would not have built an economy with the lowest Black unemployment rate in history.

For many decades, Black Americas have sat their children down in front of the TV to enjoy what we thought were wholesome, entertaining cartoons, with practical moral lessons and cautionary tales.
