The tower would be the latest in a string of developments that continue to attract more people to the former industrial area around Goose Island.
Starting next January, the tower will be torn down floor by floor, according to the University of Cincinnati. The finalized plans will include remediation of lead paint and asbestos plaster.
Demolition of the towers could start as soon as this summer and be completed by next June to make way for as many as 387 housing units, ranging from studio to three-bedroom floor plans.
