The Chief Mountain port of entry is closing for the season on September 30, at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST). It will reopen in the spring of 2025.

As of the first week of September, the Chief Mountain port of entry welcomed 58,462 travelers into Canada during the 2024 season. This is an increase of over 2,400 travelers from the previous year.
