In Wilson County, the school district is making some progress on two new elementary schools that will address overcrowding.

The Board on Thursday voted to advance the Hazel Green Middle School project, which will break ground later this year.

The Madison County school district is adding a new middle school in Hazel Green to help with the rapid growth in the area.
