In its heyday, Good Shepherd had an enrollment of more than 200 students. But when the school closed for summer break on May 27, no one expected it would be the end of nearly six decades of education.
Founded by Francis Markey, Good Shepherd Catholic School has served students from preschool through eighth grade on its campus tucked away on Mattison Lane in Santa Cruz since 1963.
