The incident comes more than a month after the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. That massacre, carried out by a former student, left 17 people dead.

The five schools are City College, Western High School, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Frederick Douglas High School and Joseph C Briscoe Academy. The plan will cost $400 million.
