FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced plans to build a new temple in Farmington, New Mexico making it the second temple in the state.
The Hartford Courant reports that the Mormon church has submitted plans for a 24,000-square-foot temple off Route 4 in Farmington. The church has a contract to buy the land from the owner.
"Temples have foundations. Soon, construction will begin and the physical foundation of the Farmington, New Mexico temple will be laid," Emeritus General Authority Seventy Elder Larry J.
