SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Many Christians within the Central Coast and around the world attend a church service on Good Friday to pray and reflect on the day Jesus Christ was crucified.

This upcoming weekend is Easter weekend, meaning Friday, April 18 is Good Friday. Good Friday is the day in which the Christian faith commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

The annual Community Good Friday Service sponsored by the Ashland County Ministerial Association will be held noon-3 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center St., Ashland.
