A church and school treasurer who stole £43,000 to fund her rent and daughter's private school fees has been jailed. Carol Payne took £31,300 from Saltley Methodist Church.

Carol Payne (pictured), 31, used her role as treasurer of the parent-teacher association at Highclare School, in Birmingham, to steal from the group’s bank account.
