History buffs got a look Saturday inside some of La Grange’s oldest homes as well as a look into the La Grange Area Historical Society’s museum at 444 S. La Grange Road during a history walk.

Morris brought his wife and children to La Grange in 1860 as professor of ancient history at the Masonic University and spent the rest of his years in the small town.

Some salvaged, hand-cut limestone blocks from the old Mallory Taylor Hospital building in La Grange will be recycled to support of the Oldham County History Center's renovations.
