The team successfully detected photons transmitted through an entire adult human head (15.5cm diameter) with an attenuation factor of ~10^18, detecting approximately one photon per second.

The side profile of a "human face" appears in the landscape around 35 kilometers (22 miles) ... chin, neck, cheekbones, the jawline, and even what appears to be a feathered headdress on their head.
