The Diamondbacks are placing reliever Jalen Beeks on the injured list with lower back inflammation, manager Torey Lovullo told Burns & Gambo.

For the full season, Beeks has thrown 41 innings and has a 4.39 ERA along with a 3.70 FIP. He's allowed six of 17 inherited runners to score, 35%. That's slightly worse than league average 32%.

Beeks has been a great pickup for the Diamondbacks' bullpen. He's appeared in five games so far, allowing just one run in 7.1 innings with eight strikeouts and two walks.
