DECORAH, Iowa — Luther College is switching to the Midwest Conference (MWC) starting in the 2026-27 academic year.

Pamela Bacon has been appointed as the new provost of Luther College, President Brad Chamberlain announced on Friday, May 30.

DECORAH, Iowa (KCRG) - Luther College will switch athletic conferences for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. The school will now compete in the NCAA Division III league in the Midwest Conference.

Pamela Bacon previously had a successful career at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University in Minnesota.
