The owner of a Peoria tattoo shop was denied pre-trial release Thursday after being charged with grooming, with a Peoria County judge noting that his alleged actions made him a danger to children.

Mario E. Davis, a 34-year-old tattoo artist from Peoria, Illinois, was charged with grooming a 16-year-old girl after sending her explicit text messages under the guise of being her older sister.
