After a lengthy trial and more than 3½ days of deliberations, U.S. District Judge Andrew Guilford declared the latest mistrial Wednesday in the case of James Mazzo.

Mazzo’s appointment follows the decision by William R. Grant, the company’s former chairman, to step down. Mr. Grant had served as chairman since AMO’s spin-off from Allergan in 2002.
