Don’t be surprised to see the Suns rising as the second half of the regular season unfolds. They have all the pieces to be much better than what their current record indicates.

Devin Booker scored 26 points, Kevin Durant added 24 and the surging Phoenix Suns survived a late scare for a 111-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night.

Devin Booker and Ryan Dunn had hot starts to lead Phoenix after a tight first quarter over Detroit, 30-29. Booker put up the game-high 13 points (4-of-8) and Ryan Dunn has 10 points on 4-of-5, picking up from his hot streak from his 8-of-12 and career-high 18 in the Suns’ win at Washington on Thursday.

Suns 125, Pistons 121. Kevin Durant (36 points) got going in the second half, and he and Devin Booker (35 points) iced the game late in the 4th. Pistons fall to 21-21

Kevin Durant scored 30 of his 36 points in the second half and the Phoenix Suns defeated the Detroit Pistons 125-121.

The Phoenix Suns (23-21) host the Los Angeles Clippers (26-19) on Monday, airing on Arizona's Family (Ch. 3 TV) and NBA TV at 7:30 p.m. This is the Suns' second game of a three-game homestand and the third of a four-game Pacific Division season series.

After the game, the game-high scorer Devin Booker had some thoughts to share on his team going forward. "We wouldn't put a limit to what we gotta do, but obviously a championship's the goal," Booker said.
