The Nidavellir scnes might have been the weaker portions of the arc at one point, but no longer. Pepe Larraz's visuals continue to impress, particularly during the Thor vs. Odin scenes.
It's certainly interesting that Thor's quest almost took that different shape, in part because it would have entirely cut the MCU's largest appearance of Nidavellir as well as Eitri (Peter Dinklage).

Of course, Nidavellir has its basis in Norse mythology, so it's not like Marvel came up with it for Thor: The Dark World and then used it in Infinity War, but it's still a fun reference in hindsight.
