Live Nation operated the Pelham venue for decades. In 2023, an official partnership to build and operate the new Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham was announced. It was eventually announced that the Oak Mountain venue would no longer be operated by Live Nation once the new venue in Birmingham opened.

PELHAM, Ala. ( WIAT) — The city of Pelham signed a contract to purchase the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre site from Live Nation. According to the city Monday, it is acquiring a 43-acre property from the live entertainment company. The purchase will come following the venue’s demolition, which opened in 1986 and held its final show in 2024.
