Why does the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints want a new temple in North Texas?As the region’s only temple for Latter-day Saints, the Dallas Texas Temple is struggling to serve 100,000 members, including some as far away as Louisiana, church spokesperson Melissa McKneely said.
The public can tour the temple at no cost from Saturday, May 10, through Saturday, May 31, excluding Sundays. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recommends making a reservation.
