Shepherd Public School Board has placed a bond proposal on the August 6th ballot. The proposal is for new construction and remodeling of existing buildings.

My “no” vote on the $160 million consolidated school bond in Scarborough does not mean that I do not support the town’s schools. It simply means I believe we can do better.

SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle School Board unanimously approved a proposal on Wednesday that could lead to the closure of nearly 20 elementary schools throughout the district.

Superintendent Cynthia Ritchie is scheduled to present her 2025-26 budget proposal to the school board from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13 at the district's welcome center at 3 Shaw's Cove.
