Pope County, Ark. (KATV) — In a letter released by Pope County Sheriff Shane Jones, who has served in the position for nearly 11 years, announced his resignation, effective June 30, 2025.

according to the Jones County Sheriff's Office. They say two men — 51-year-old James Bradley Spicer and 29-year-old Donald Dean Spicer — were arrested on Tuesday on outstanding burglary charges.
