WATERVILLE, Ohio — Waterville's Roche de Boeuf bridge is set to be demolished after an effort made by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to find it a new owner proved unsuccessful.
The name Roche de Boeuf is French for "rock of beef" or "buffalo rock," and was named for a limestone outcrop that forms an island near the center of the Maumee River.
