CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) -- Rockwell Collins began the first round of layoffs that will eventually affect more than 900 local workers. On Monday the company discharged nearly 470 employees.
The company merged with Rockwell International in 1971 to form Rockwell Collins and then Rockwell Collins merged with United Technologies Corporation to form Collins Aerospace in 2018.
