This is the most excited I’ve been for a Royal Rumble in a long time. Unlike most recent years in which there were, at best, a small handful of wrestlers with even remote chances of winning, the 2025 version is wide open.

After nearly two decades as the face of WWE, Cena will hang it up at the end of 2025. That means he will compete at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania for the final time. There is a chance that he will also compete at SummerSlam as well in August.

John Cena will compete in his final WWE Royal Rumble match on February 1. John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), one of Cena's legendary rivals, expects the returning star to leave Indianapolis as a three-time Royal Rumble winner.

Huge stars like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and John Cena are set to be at Lucas Oil Stadium for the event, with Reigns and Cena both competing in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Now, WWE Shop is celebrating Cena’s farewell stop in Indianapolis with a new collection of merch themed after the city and its football team, the Indianapolis Colts.

WWE Royal Rumble might be the most star-studded event in its 38-year history. The 38th annual Royal Rumble features the likes of John Cena, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. That’s just on the men’s side.

Fans are excited about the possibility of The Rock returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2025 as the number 30 entrant. His return would create a high moment of anticipation and excitement. This could also set up a potential match against Roman Reigns and bring more mainstream attention to WWE.
