Fredbird, the longtime, energetic and beloved mascot of the St. Louis Cardinals, is now officially a Hall of Famer.

Cardinals mascot Fredbird earns a spot in the Mascot Hall of Fame, becoming the ninth MLB mascot to receive the honor.

Dan Meers first became a mascot at the University of Missouri, playing Truman the Tiger from 1986 to 1990. Meers also worked part time as Cardinals mascot Fredbird.
