Scottsdale-based Axon Enterprise, which manufactures Tasers and body cameras, wanted to build a 400,000-square-foot corporate campus off the Loop 101.

Even so, the Scottsdale City Council voted last November in favor of the project. However, the dispute took another turn after months of turmoil when Scottsdale city leaders later accused Axon of threatening to leave the state unless the Arizona Legislature passed a “strike-everything” bill that would loosen zoning rules.
