A new rumor surrounding Shadow from the Sonic the Hedgehog film series will have fans of the character very happy.

In The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, a fun little free game, Shadow's represented in an unorthodox, simple way that makes for genuinely nice characterization, plus he's got drip.

And now, the software house has created Shadow the Hedgehog for GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox, a game that looks and plays like it was designed for Dreamcast a full six years ago.

Shadow the Hedgehog as a character was first introduced in 2001's Sonic Adventure 2 as the 'Ultimate Lifeform', before appearing in his own standalone game in 2005 where he notably wields a gun.

Shadow the Hedgehog is an attempt to take the series into slightly edgier, more mature territory. That's all fine and good, but a game needs more than a bad attitude and some guns to be enjoyable.
